Terms for using this website

Terms for using this website

These terms explain the conditions that apply when you access or use the Halo Networks website. They relate to the website itself and do not replace any project agreement, distributor agreement or other formal arrangement with Halo.

Last updated: July 2026

01 / ABOUT THIS WEB SITE

This website provides general information about Halo, our electricity-distribution networks and the services we may provide to property developers, residents, electricity retailers and other industry participants.

The information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute engineering, electrical, planning, legal, financial or other professional advice.

Project outcomes depend on factors including development size, staging, electricity demand, supply capacity, local network conditions, technical requirements, regulatory approvals and the agreed delivery structure.

You should obtain appropriate project-specific professional advice before making decisions based on information published on this website.

02 / NO OFFER OR PROJECT AGREEMENT

Nothing on this website constitutes:

  • a binding offer by Halo;

  • acceptance of a proposed project;

  • confirmation that a development is suitable for a Halo network;

  • approval of any design, contractor, equipment or construction work;

  • a guarantee of electricity supply, capacity, connection timing, savings or project outcome; or

  • a contract for the supply of goods or services.

Submitting an enquiry, form, plan, proposal or other information through the website does not create a contractual relationship with Halo.

Any services supplied by Halo will be subject to a separate written agreement, together with any applicable technical, commercial, regulatory and network requirements.

03 / PROJECT INFORMATION AND INDICATIVE OUTCOMES

Any discussion on this website of possible savings, infrastructure requirements, supply arrangements, development contributions, capacity, delivery timeframes or other project outcomes is general and indicative only.

Actual outcomes vary between developments and cannot be confirmed until Halo has reviewed the relevant project information and, where required, engaged with the local network operator, contractors, consultants and other parties.

References to development scale are intended to describe the flexibility of Halo’s operating model. They do not guarantee that Halo will accept a particular development or that a suitable supply arrangement will be available.

04 / ELECTRICITY NETWORK INFORMATION

Halo owns and operates electricity-distribution infrastructure within Halo-operated developments but does not sell electricity to residents.

Information concerning ICPs, retailer access, network tariffs, loss factors, supply arrangements, metering, connection processes and industry requirements may change over time.

While we aim to keep published information current, users should confirm any technical, tariff, regulatory or market information directly with Halo before relying on it.

Where information published on the website differs from an applicable agreement, approved tariff schedule, regulatory requirement or formal notice issued by Halo, the formal document or notice will prevail.

05 / ELECTRICITY RETAILERS

Residents connected to a Halo network may choose from electricity retailers that are trading on the relevant Halo network.

The availability of any particular retailer may change and is not controlled solely by Halo. Displaying or referring to a retailer does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee that the retailer will be available at a particular property.

Residents should confirm retailer availability, pricing and plan terms directly with the retailer.

06 / CONTRACTORS AND CONSTRUCTION WORK

Halo may arrange civil and electrical construction through contractors within its contractor network, or work with contractors appointed by a developer and approved by Halo.

Any reference on this website to contractor capability, construction pricing or delivery options is general only. Contractor availability, pricing and programme requirements must be confirmed for each project.

Regardless of who carries out the physical works, infrastructure will only be accepted into a Halo network if it satisfies Halo’s applicable design, installation, inspection, testing, certification and documentation requirements.

07 / ACCURACY AND AVAILABILITY

We take reasonable care in preparing and maintaining this website. However, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that:

  • all information is complete, current or free from error;

  • the website will always be available or uninterrupted;

  • faults or defects will be corrected immediately;

  • the website will be free from viruses or other harmful components; or

  • information displayed will be suitable for a particular project or purpose.

We may update, remove or change website content at any time without notice.

08 / IMAGES, PLANS, AND VISUAL MATERIAL

Images, renders, diagrams, plans, dashboards and other visual material on this website may be illustrative, edited, simplified or representative.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, visual material should not be interpreted as:

  • an approved construction design;

  • an exact representation of installed infrastructure;

  • a promise that a particular development outcome will be achieved; or

  • evidence that every item shown was designed, supplied or constructed by Halo.

09 / INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, Halo owns or is licensed to use the content on this website, including its:

You are responsible for ensuring information submitted through the website is accurate and that you are authorised to provide it.

Please do not submit confidential, commercially sensitive or security-sensitive electricity-network information unless requested by Halo or transmitted through an agreed secure method.

Providing information through a general website form does not mean Halo has agreed to keep it confidential, except to the extent required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

  • use of or inability to use this website;

  • reliance on general website information;

  • website errors, omissions, delays or interruptions;

This exclusion includes indirect, consequential or economic loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of data and additional project cost.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

14 / INDEMNITY

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Halo against loss, damage, liability and reasonable costs resulting from:

  • your unlawful use of the website;

The revised terms will take effect when they are published on this website. The date at the top of the page identifies when the terms were last updated.

Your continued use of the website following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
